Michael Mandiberg put together a bicycle with some Retroreflective  Scotchlite 680 vinyl. It is like coating your bike with a big sticker that turns ultra-bright in headlights.

I am not a supporter of Proposition 8 in any way. It not only is offensive that it passed, it is offensive that it was even put on the ballot. Why is it ok to vote on human rights? Should we vote on slavery again? I don’t think so. Should we vote to see if people think different races should be allowed to marry each other? I don’t think so.

Some say that it would be difficult to ‘redefine’ what marriage is. It seems to me that the definition already includes the option of same sex marriage. I don’t see the word defining beyond the idea that two voluntary people are legally joined in the eyes of the state or their religion or both.

To those in support of Prop 8: Why does the relationship of two people other than yourself matter to you? No one is saying that you have to get married to someone of the same sex. Being gay is not a choice. If gays were allowed to be married, it would not alter your heterosexual marriage.

Allowing a couple, who just happen to be the same sex, to get married does not mean that you would also have to allow polygamists to get married too. One plus one does not equal seven. Marriage is the joining of a couple… not a couple of couples.

It is a basic human right. It is not a voting matter.

Now we really have to keep our eye on *lily* at all times. Crazy fearless 9 month old baby.

We took a day trip up to New York so I could check out an open house for potential graduate students at Parsons School of Design. While there we visited Jessica at her work, visited the Parsons open house, and walked by Radio City Music Hall on the way to the Rockefeller Christmas Tree.

Lily is visiting the doctor today for her 9 month checkup. Our little baby is getting so big and so cute.

Happy Thanksgiveme Thanksgiving!

Lily uses her tongue to help her concentrate.

Big Blue Eyes on the cutest baby ever.

Lily sees somethig above that she wants. She will get it.

We have been removing some of the larger baby entertaining equipment recently due to her increased mobility and need for more entertainment. We put away the jumparoo and a couple of bassinets.

Now most of her time is spent crawling from place to place and pulling herself up into a standing position. She evn does this under the chairs where she then can’t actually stand up due to the underside of the seat.

Yesterday she even walked behind the walk-behind toy lion for about 4 unassisted steps. It was quite a sight to see her hobbling along on the verge of falling the whole time. We set her up for a 2nd attempt and she did it even better than the first.

Little baby Lily is growing up quick and developing quickly. Super cutie!

Little baby *lily* loves to stand now. She spends more time standing than sitting. She uses her crawl abilities to get to a new object, climb up it and use it to help her balance as she stands. Too cute.
